Atlantic hurricane season kicks off without named storm for fourth year in a row

While the tropical storm was fizzling Saturday morning, some of its leftover moisture is expected to push into the Desert Southwest, triggering unusual pre-monsoonal rains for the region. 
For the fourth consecutive year, the Atlantic hurricane[1] season kicks off without a named storm forming before June 1, and there are no immediate signs of formation.
